STOTT PILATES is a contemporary approach to the original exercise method pioneered by the late Joseph Pilates. Co-founders Moira and Lindsay G. Merrithew, along with a team of physical therapists, sports medicine and fitness professionals, have spent over two decades refining the STOTT PILATES method of exercise and equipment. This resulted in the inclusion of modern principles of exercise science and spinal rehabilitation, making it one of the safest and effective methods available. This clear and detailed approach forms the basis for STOTT PILATES training and certification programs. It’s used by rehab and prenatal, clients, athletes, celebrities and everyone in between.

At PRISM, one on one treatment allows the freedom for the therapist to treat as best as he/she sees fit. Treatment consists of manual techniques such as soft tissue manipulation, joint mobilization, and other various techniques. An evaluation based on the principles of the Postural Restoration Institute (PRI) is performed which encompasses a more holistic approach when evaluating a patient. This takes into account the following: inherent human asymmetries, ability to move and adapt through all planes of motion, respiration compensations, muscle imbalances, improper foot wear, and postural alignment issues all with the main goal of finding answers for the patient in regards to his/her current condition.
PRISM is one of the only clinics in the DFW area focusing on the PRI methodology for treating patients. When comparing the results from PRI and traditional physical therapy there is a vast difference. The outcomes, if the patient is compliant, tend to be accelerated and allow the patient to take some ownership of their own progress and success.

The MELT Method® (MELT®) is a simple self-treatment technique that reduces chronic pain and helps you stay healthy, youthful, and active for a lifetime. Just 10 minutes of MELT three times a week is all you need to reduce the effects of accumulated tension and stress caused by daily living.
New research has revealed the missing link to pain-free living: a balanced nervous system and healthy connective tissue. These two components work together to provide your body support and optimal mind-body communication.
MELT directly addresses these two systems of your body in a way no other self-treatment can, including diet and exercise. You'll see and feel results in the first session. Over time MELT heightens your body’s ability to repair and heal itself, which can create remarkable, lasting changes. MELT offers natural pain relief, addressing the true cause of pain, not just the symptoms.
