Amanda holds a B.A. in Criminal Justice with a concentration in Legal Assistance from Stephen F. Austin State University. Graduating in 2001. Denise Cook
Certified Instructor
STOTT PILATES®

As a  STOTT PILATES® trained instructor, Denise knows that Pilates gives you power with overall strength and flexibility. For her, it’s not about body size or shape as she recognizes that humans come in all shapes and sizes, and Pilates is good for EVERY BODY.

Denise was very physically fit in her youth competing in horseback riding and swimming. Then she says, life happened! “When I entered my adult years, those activities ended and I began to put on a lot of weight. For years I struggled with it, yo-yo dieting, working out intermittently, gaining control and losing control. There was no balance. I had many injuries, and the extra weight combined with the developing arthritis resulted in having both knees replaced. Then I discovered Pilates. Participating in a Pilates Mat class gave me the confidence, strength and balance I was craving. A few years later I began studio Pilates practice on the Reformer, Chair and Cadillac and I was hooked! Though society may still consider me a curvy girl, my body is now fit, strong and healthy.”
Denise enjoys practicing and teaching Pilates as it embraces each person’s body type, capability and goals.“Aging gracefully, moving, breathing, striving to be my best self is my goal and I am excited to help others become stronger, healthier and confident in their true selves.”

Catherine Chambers
Certified Instructor
Balanced Body

Catherine Chambers received her BFA in Creative Writing from Goddard College in Vermont and will complete her MFA in Poetry at the University of Southern Maine in the summer of 2019. (She also has two degrees from clown school.) In 2016, she moved to New York City to work in publishing, but found that a desk job didn't quite fit her. Inspired by her aunt, a long-time yoga instructor, Catherine sought a career in movement instead. Catherine danced ballet for fifteen years before her career was cut short by an avascular necrosis, and narrowly avoided having her left foot amputated. Pilates made her feel strong and capable, and she wanted to give that to other people, so by the end of 2016 she had completed her 500 hour certification from Balanced Pilates in New York City, and continued to pursue teaching when she moved back to her home state of Texas at the end of 2017. Catherine lives in Fort Worth with her fiance, Chris.
